We believe that the easiest way to meet the needs of the community is to be part of it. Both co-founders of Open Produce have lived in Hyde Park for at least 6 years. Here's a little more about us:
Andrew Cone
Andrew Cone moved to Hyde Park in September 2002 to attend the University of Chicago, where he received a degree in mathematics and computer science in 2006. After graduating he worked at the University as a computer programmer. He later learned about financial mathematics and quantitative analysis of risk in his job at a startup trading firm in Chicago—skills he is eager to apply to social entrepreneurship.
Steven Lucy
Steven Lucy spent his youth in Hyde Park and moved back in 2002 to attend the University of Chicago, where he received a degree in mathematics and history of science in 2006. After graduation he worked as a freelance web designer and IT consultant in San Francisco, before returning to Hyde Park to found Open Produce.
